Bit Better Book Club Meeting "Drive"
Add to calendar:
This time we turn to Daniel’s Pink “Drive” in search of answers about what drives (no pun intended) humans. He talks about three elements of the motivation formula, autonomy, mastery, and purpose, and how other, older, methods of motivation are flawed (e.g. “carrot and stick”).
Based on basic psychological needs, competence, autonomy, and relatedness, he helps to us to understand the key to high performance doesn’t come from reward or punishment, but our deep desire to direct our own lives, to grow and develop, and to live a life of purpose.
This and much more in “Drive” by Daniel Pink.
